Power pop may just be my favorite musical sub-genre. You gotta love the way even aggressive minor chords contain a cheery sense of hopefulness, a sense that all is not lost. Matthew Sweet does a great job of dialing up the distortion, all the while retaining the bounce. Be careful: it's infectiously hummable.
