Johnny Thunders

So Alone
There's no hint of twang here, but this ex-New York Doll writes some great country tunes. Strip "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory" of Thunders' leering punk swagger, replace the Les Paul riffs with steel guitar phrasings and suddenly you're in Nashville. But one of the reasons this album appeals to me so much is the sense that for all of that swagger, Johnny's barely holding it together underneath it all.
