The J. Geils Band

Blooodshot
Ironically, I justify recognition for this band and album here because they are remarkably unspecial. This is journeyman rock at it's most basic, and every "serious" music listener should have some of it in her or his collection, whether it's this particular favorite of mine or AC/DC or Great White or something else. No band that can muster a set of material, plus a couple of encores, that keeps a barroom or more full of heads bouncing should be dismissed.
